Frank Pulcini

Franck PULCINI starts his musical carreer at the Conservatoire National de Région de Limoges in the class of Gérard DUBARRY where he obtains the golden medal and the Prize of the City en de Prijs. He plays amongst others with the l’Orchestre Symphonique Régional de Limoges et du Limousin, conducted by Guy CONDETTE.

After following masterclasses and lessons with big names as Marcel LAGORCE, Bernard JEANOUTOT, Bo NILSSON, Roger DELMOTTE, Carmine CARUSO and Antoine CURE, he was admitted in 1983 at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris in the class of Pierre THIBAUD. He studies there for 3 years. In 1986 he graduates at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris with a first price cum laude.

Franck PULCINI performs with major national and international orchestras like: Orchestres Philharmoniques de Radio France, National de France, Intercontemporain, National de l’Opéra de Paris, National de Bordeaux Aquitaine, du Capitole de Toulouse, Symphonique de Montpellier, de la Radio de Frankfort et de Munich, and this with the most famous conductors as: Giulini, Maazel, Boulez, Krivine, Gielen, Cambreling, Janowsky, Osawa, Prêtre ...

He's principal trumpet with the l’Orchestre de la Radio du Sud West Rundfunk de Baden-Baden / Freiburg (Germany) since 1995.

As a soloist Franck PULCINI is a laureat of the most famous competitions: Prague, Toulon, l'International Trumpet Guild (Tallahassee, Floride) and especially, he obtains in 1994 the First Prize at the concours international de Tokyo. As a chamber musician Franck PULCINI is co-founder of the ensemble EPSILON, with wich he's laureaat of the concours internationaux de Narbonne and the musique de chambre d’Osaka (Japan). With this ensemble he gives many concerts and courses around the world. He's also Artistic Director of the festival «Cuivres en Fête» in Limoges.
